The film tries to be pessimistic, optimistic, humorous and serious, ironic and serious, an opaque straight gay public could enjoy. In other words: a surefire disaster film. But with an ear for dialogue as sharp as his foreign looking for love in all the wrong areas, President of the Madeleine Olneck hits the mark with this parody of civilization dating lesbians (alienation, get it?) packaged as a parody of a film series B.
