Star Fucking Hipsters is a very political group. What role do you think music and culture in general can change the world in butter?

While giving a voice to the voiceless, confidence and hope at least some empathy and understanding that the First World does not fully characterize the Third World as enemies or, more generally, "scary" Places of this scourge. Because that's what we are taught here in America, at least at a very young age.

We are told things like "Mexico is a dangerous place and off color," for example. I was in Mexico and Central America a dozen times in the last ten years and you know what? Mexico is fucking awesome !

It's a little more polluted than Louisiana or Texas, roads are a little less fixed, but knowing it is a country with really nice people who care about each other and are not unequivocal as apathetic so many Americans and Australians.
