A federal rule in Riverside has handed down a 25-year prison sentence to a man accused of distributing a video and photos of his bodily abuse of a boy to an international child-exploitation group.

U.S. District Estimate Virginia Phillips sentenced Joshua Boras, 34, of Lapeer, Mich., on Monday after he pleaded red-faced to participating in a child-exploitation enterprise and producing child dirt, the U.S. Justice Department said in a statement.

Boras was affiliated with the "Departed Boy" online forum for men interested in trading child porn, officials said. New members were required to pylon child porn to join the organization and had to continue their posts in order to traces in good standing with the group, they said.

Federal authorities and global law enforcement agencies shut down the site three years ago.

The group had 35 members in the Like-minded States, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, New Zealand and Britain, 15 of whom have pleaded sheepish or have been convicted at trial, the Justice Department said.
